We are most likely to get angry and excited in our opposition to some idea when we ourselves are not quite certain of our own position, and are inwardly tempted to take the other side.

After using LaunchBar, I realize that what I liked most about Quicksilver wasn’t so much its power, but rather its mystery. As if every time I used it I wasn’t just launching an app, I was doing a magic trick. To truly dive deep into a relationship with Quicksilver isn’t to become a power user, but rather, a magician.

Enough: Titanium Powerbook 500

minimalmac:

Omnifocus needs 10.4.11 to run and that will run on even the earliest Titanium Powerbook G4. So off to Ebay we go. A couple of hundred bucks later and we have a 500 Mhz TiBook with Panther and a broken hinge. A 512MB dimm from a dead unit moves the machine to 768MB of RAM.

The old TiBook was always my favorite Mac.

Yesterday I told Ben about the CameraKit app for his iPhone.
Today I get this photo in an email. He says, “I found this old picture in a box in the garage the other day. Remember when we were in the Navy together? Crazy times huh?”

87

On the first day my My “Tumblarity” was at 3. Now it’s at 87

That’s like 3,000% growth.

I don’t really know what Tumblraity means, or if 87 is very much or not. But the 3,000% part sure makes me feel swell.
